Basic training on Dermatology:
With the generous support from Dr. Aileen Taylor, UK based dermatologist and her colleagues, BIKASH Nepal has been offering basic training in dermatology annually. This training used to be conducted once in a year.The main purpose of running this training is to help identify leprosy affected people from amongst patients complaining of skin disease. Two one-day skin camps were also organised as part of the training in order to give doctors an opportunity to practice their new skills whilst at the same time benefiting those individuals in need of the medical advice and input. Every year 6 Medical doctors from government organisation and remaining 6 from different NGOs/INGOs used to participate in this training. Every year more than 250 people used to be benefited from 2 skin camp.
